Appreciation at Work has launched an enterprise version of its widely used methodology to support organizations seeking to use employee engagement technology and other systems to achieve their critical purpose, goals, and objectives, announces Dr. Paul White, CEO and Founder. Using any properly configured employee engagement technology, he says, AAW for Enterprises addresses the human factor with a worldwide-recognized system for aligning appreciation with organizational purpose, goals, and objectives in a meaningful, sustainable, and measurable manner.

Appreciation at WorkAAW for Enterprises is designed for mid- to large-size organizations in particular seeking to scale the AAW process to achieve critical objectives, many of whom are using the current version in a more ad hoc basis in thousands of enterprises around the world to support appreciation teams and groups in private and public enterprise, government, and non-governmental organizations, Dr. White explains.

“The AAW Enterprise system addresses why many employee engagement technologies often do not achieve tangible and measurable impact on organizational purpose, goals, and objectives—a failure to focus people on tangible goals in a way that is meaningful to them,” according to Dr. White. To measure outcomes, the platform incorporates the new Enterprise Engagement Alliance People Value Impact Calculator, a SaaS (software as a service) platform drawing from an organization’s own quantitative and qualitative metrics for determining the impact and return on investment of employee engagement efforts. "We are happy to work with technology companies with their own performance metrics; PVIC enables us to independently validate performance for organizations that require it."

AAWAAW has launched its first integration with Incentco, a provider of engagement technologies for small- to- medium size organizations. “We are open to working with companies using any employee engagement technologies recognizing the need for having a clear system and measurement process for any program to succeed and demonstrate clear value to the C-suite. The beauty of our methodology is that organizations bake our process into their daily operations so that outside implementers are needed only for training the community of facilitators and keeping them up to date, training new internal facilitators if needed, and helping to ensure proper impact and return on investment measurement."

Dr. White explains, AAW for Enterprises helps organizations:
Identify the key purpose, goals, objectives, and metrics of any effort:
  • Trains leaders, managers, and employees to reinforce them by baking appreciation into the culture;
  • Identifies each person’s preferred method of appreciation;
  • Leverages the employee engagement technology of a company’s choice to continually reinforce the purpose, goals, and objectives of the effort through communications, surveys and feedback, social recognition, referrals, rewards and recognition appropriate to each action and recipient;
  • Provides ongoing measurement of the impact on the purpose, goals, and objectives, and what’s working or not, and
  • Enables the ability to independently validate program findings.
He says the process includes a post-program Appreciation at Work Ratings Scale and goes beyond that to measure actual impact on the organization based on the purpose, goals, objectives and metrics of the effort. Using the same process prevalent around the world in total quality management, the AAW system includes the PVIC SaaS technology to analyze and correlate the results based on tracking the purpose, goals, objectives, and related metrics for the program along with any financial metrics desired. “We use an independent platform and an organization’s own metrics so that there is no bias in the analysis and so that we can better distinguish causal versus correlative factors using our own insights,” Dr. White points out. This validation can be publicly displayed, if desired, or remain private, he says.

As part of the enterprise program, AAW provides a complete solution organizations can implement with their own management and employees with a train-the-trainer program using the AAW system used in thousands of organizations worldwide. The book is available in 24 languages. “Over the years, we have developed a community of certified implementers who can help organizations worldwide scale if needed."
